Being inspired by the Mastercrafts series by Monty Don, I decided to go on a weaving course in 2010. I loved it so much I saved up and bought my own 8 shaft Ashford table loom, and this is the result! I have used 8 shaft and 4 shaft weave structures and luxury yarns to create this soft and luscious cushion, just right for snuggling up with on a cold night!

Full description
A beautiful bright and luxurious rectangular cushion, made from a piece of hand woven cloth - a totally unique one-off piece, produced on my Ashford 8 shaft table loom. The perfect gift!
The front features a 'sampler' of different woven patterns, including a chevron design, various checkerboards, sateen and cross patterns. It is made from a variety of luxury yarns: the base (warp) is of a charcoal grey mercerised cotton, which has a lovely sheen. The weft features hot pink jaggerspun merino, bamboo, silk/alpaca, linen and various wools. The colours are a vibrant mix - hot pinks, teal, yellow, green and lilac.
After it was cut off it was wet finished by gently hand washing it in ecover delicates detergent and left to dry. There may be small variations or imperfections in the cloth, this is due to the idiocyncracies of hand woven cloth and does not detract in any way from the aesthetics or the structure of the material.
The cushion is backed in a simple, hardwearing cotton canvas in a grape-purple colour. The insert is a new polyester filled cushion. The whole has been sewn on all sides, so the cushion should only be spot cleaned or dry cleaned.
Cushion dimensions are approximately 10.5 x 12.5 inches.
Hand made in a smoke and pet free environment.
