The creator of Alikits, Alison Capeling has fond childhood memories of sitting with her favourite aunt in her sunny garden, a sewing basket at their feet, brimming with colourful fabrics and fancy cottons.
That experience led Alison to a life long passion with fabric and design, and a wish to pass on her love of sewing. In 2011 with her friend Diddy Reeve, Alison created Alikits to encourage adults and children to spend time together - sewing, learning and having fun.
