These miniature Cardigans were originally made by request as a pun on the name of my hometown, Cardigan.
2010 was the 900th year of Cardigan town and many events were organized around this, one of which was the knitting of a GIANT cardigan. The earrings were featured in the local newspaper at that time, and I am quite happy to make many more in any variation of colours!

They are handmade in Polymer Clay using different coloured clays by rolling out each strand individually and positioning it on a base colour. They hang from their coat hangers on hypo allergenic surgical steel ear wires and come presented in a lovely black cardboard gift box.

As they are each individually hand made there will be small differences between every cardi, just like real knitts :)

A friend of the family thought it would be a good pun on Cardigan towns name and would make some nice earrings, and the original two pairs colour sceme was inspired by the personalities of the ladies that would own them. Orange for warm and hearty, and blue for intuitive and deep. Given the choice between the two they both chose the ones I intended for them, so I scored well on that count!
