Meerkat doctor or veterinarian knitted gift for medics
Even meerkats get sick sometimes, so it was only right to knit them a medic. I'm not sure whether it's a doctor or a vet, I suppose it depends where you stand on anthropomorphism.
Your meercat medic wears surgical scrubs and has a wired stethoscope which can be worn in his ears, around his neck or slung casually over an arm.
He also has a face mask though to be fair, knitted critters don't really catch germs.
