I love the combination of image and text that can be achieved using the technique of decoupage. I find the mixture of traditional looking papers with added text and brightly coloured edges pleasing to the eye. Here I have used a fire-engine red paint finish to the box before adding layers of paper which gives a lovely vintage feel to the piece.

Poetic Butterfly Box
A dome topped softwood box has been carefully decoupaged with pretty papers and fine cuts. The pastel colours of floral papers and blend of imagery and text combine to form a pleasing composition that brings a vintage feel to this lovely piece. The finish is that of high gloss sheen produced by many layers of varnish that bring out the beauty of this pretty yet practical little box. Ideal for storing jewellery and other keepsakes.
This lovely box measures 16.4cm x 10,8cm and stands approximately 8.5cm tall at it's highest point of the domed top. It has been decoupaged to the interior with complimenting papers and has two silver-toned hinges to the lid with a small latch to secure it.
Will make a great present for yourself or another.
