I aim to make ceramic designs that have elements of classic traditional style with a modern touch. I hope that this creates a timeless look that won't date so that they can be used in your home decor and enjoyed for years to come.
I initially made many of the pieces in my range as Valentines, wedding, birthday and engagement presents for friends and family, and themes of gift giving run through much of my work.

This heart shaped plate in Wedgwood blue lace imprinted stoneware ceramic pottery would make a sweet wedding gift or gift for Mums and friends.
The plate was made by pressing vintage lace into the surface of soft clay. The texture created was emphasized by adding classic Wedgwood blue glaze to the surface. I left the underside quite plain, with a little fabric texture.
There are many uses for this piece. It would make the perfect holder for a little candle, you could use it to keep keys or jewelry safe, or you could use it as a soap dish. It could even be used to serve a cupcake or tiny treat to someone special. The texture is so pretty that you may well decide to keep it empty for decoration in your home.
This piece measures approx 5 x 4.5 inches (12 x 11cm)
