Full description

This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique. It is entirely hand crafted, unique and very special.

This is a new design and is a very pretty little British Kingfisher. It has wings of bright turquoise made from very textured, iridescent glass, its throat is iridescent white, chest is rust coloured and beak iridescent dark purple.

Really pleased with this little bird. .It looks lovely hanging in the window where the different textures and iridescent colours of glass give it movement and sparkle as it catches the light.

I have hung it from strong nylon thread instead of my usual silver chain so when hung in the window it looks as if it is flying. It is 11cm high and 9cm wide.

(If you prefer it to hang from chain then please ask and I will change it).

I also do this same design in Hummingbird colours if you prefer.

This item is absolutely unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass. This will make a wonderful present, at any time, as a special gift for someone you love.
