Full description
Delicately pretty, this embroidered brooch is worked on a background of needle felted fibres.
A scene of frosty grass and a wintery sky, with a blush of pink from the setting sun, is created by needle felting hand dyed fibres (from a selection at Folksy shop 'My Heart Exposed Yarns). Distant trees and fence are stitched in fine cotton in muted shades. Red dogwood stems and the few remaining hawthorn berries, add interest to the foreground.
The back of the brooch is neatened with commercial felt and a brooch pin is securely stitched in place.
The first brooch in this theme - each one will be a unique composition.
