A Peony style polyester silk flower made by the burnt edge method,
A beautiful flower to wear in your hair pinned to a headband,
Or worn as a brooch on your favourite dress, shirt, sweater or coat ,
one of my customers wore hers pinned to a pearl bead necklace, ( similar to a necklace on the anthropologie website, but a fraction of the price ) .
A friend wore hers pinned on a velvet band around her wrist as a bracelet during a formal evening and had many compliments.
I hand cut and melted the edge of each petal over a candle flame until I had the shape I wanted , then constructed them into a peony style flower adding beads or buttons in the centre. The flowers are approx 4" across, and have a safety brooch pin sewn to the back securely.
