These gorgeous booties would look adorable on your baby or toddler, keeping tiny feet warm in the colder weather. The penguin and snowflake motifs will delight them and can also be used for other cute projects, such as Fair Isle borders on hats and scarves or individually on mittens and pockets – the possibilities are endless!
This is a detailed written knitting pattern in pdf format, with lots of photos, for baby booties. They knit up quickly in just a couple of evenings! (6 hours)
Suggested yarns:
100% wool DK or a wool/acrylic mix DK. I used Debbie Bliss Rialto DK, however you could use any alternative yarn that knits to the same tension/gauge.
Yarn weight:
DK/8 ply (11 wpi)
Tension/Gauge:
24 stitches and 32 rows = 10cm/4 inches using 3.25mm/US 3 needles over st st.
Needle size:
3.25mm/US 3
The garment is knitted using two needles.
Sizes:
0-3(3-6: 6-12) months
