Daisies are embroidered in tapestry wools, against a hand knitted and felted background, to form this pretty brooch.
The background has been knitted in a wool yarn and then fulled, or felted, to give a closer texture, This knitted background has then been machine basted to a thick wool fabric. The daisies have been embroidered using a combination of straight stitch, French knots and bullion stitch. The design is framed with a row of couching over a slubbed pure wool yarn.
The back of the brooch is neatened with felt and a brooh pin is securely stitched in place.
