Full description
A beautiful display of roses in shades of lilac are hand-embroidered onto this brooch.
The background is a soft green fabric, which has been heavily embellished with several layers of leaves, and French knot buds, to give depth to the design. The roses and rose buds are embroidered in knitting ribbon, chunky yarn and embroidery threads. The ribbon embroidery stitches used give further relief to the design.
Couched yarns in two shades of green, twisted together, frame the design. The brooch is reinforced by plastic cut from a recycled bottle, The back of the brooch is neatened with felt and a brooch pin is securely stitched in place.
