Full description
This Sauce Boat is part of a growing range of tableware that has been inspired by the dramatic stormy hues of the English coast.
I created Sauce Boat on my potter's wheel using a stoneware clay. Whilst still wet I was able to alter the clay by hand to create a likeness to the hull of a boat. I've also added a coil of clay for a pinch grip handle. Once bisque fired the vessel was dipped in several glazes creating this unique atmospheric scene.
A useful addition to the table for sweet and savoury sauces.
