Full description
This paper Inkcap Mushroom comes from a collection of small gift pieces I've been working on which are all hand cut using scalpel & scissors. The underside of the mushroom is painted in oriental calligraphy ink for that realistic inky touch. The edges are slightly burnt for a more natural colour. The pages used have been taken from a coverless book called Woodland, Field & Shore that I recently found in a charity shop near to my home in Brighton UK. The wooden base comes from locally coppiced woodland that would otherwise be discarded. The Mushroom measures approx 10 x 4cm with the head being roughly 2.5 x 3.5cm it mimics the size of a real inkcap mushroom. Due to the nature of this product no two mushrooms are ever the same so please allow for slight variation.
This piece has been treated with a uv filter & matt varnish to protect it, however, it would still be best to avoid direct sunlight as this could fade the piece. Do get in touch if you have any questions or queiries.
