Mrs Mouse was a bit of a prototype - I started to make a pair of Reading Mice bookends,but having spent some time at a craft fair with Kirsten from Quernus Crafts and oooing and cooing at her baby mice - the bookend idea is for another day and Mrs Mouse and Babe happened !
Both are made from coffee and cinnamon dyed linen,then sanded back for primitive loveliness.Mrs Mouse has glass bead eyes and a button nose ( which may vary from the photo slightly ). Her arms and tail are thick jute washing line.
Babe has embroidered eyes - tight shut - with a glass bead nose and jute tail. Both have vintage button thread whiskers.Babe can be removed from Mother's arms but cannot stand unaided.
Mrs Mouse is stuffed with poly. stuffing and organic wheat berries and could be used as a paperweight.
Overall measurement is about 16cms. and Babe is about 6.5cms.
They are sold for decorative purposes only.
