**This train is reserved and is to customised with a name and a date - George James 27.10.2011 - using little silver coloured letter and number beads**
This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
It is made with gorgeous types and shades of bright blue glass. It has a red stripe along the body, a lovely black silver-foil bead for a bell and an amber / silver funnel.
The steam and the wheels are made from iridescent glass nuggets and the window of the engine is made from frost patterned glass.
This would make a super, unique present especially for a child or a train enthusiast. I have sold a couple of this design to train drivers which I take as a great compliment !
The train looks absolutely gorgeous hanging in the window where it catches the light and would make a lovely ornament for a room.
Please note though this is an ornament made of glass and is not a toy.
The suncatcher hangs from a little chain which is securely attached to either side of the top of the train.
This item is absolutely unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass. It is one of my most popular designs but each one I have made has been different.
It is approximately 5 inches square. I can make this in other colours if you prefer. The first 2 photos are of the blue train for sale here. The other 3 photos are of trains I have made previously in other colour combination which are now sold but I have left the photos in place to show you other possibilities of colour. If you would prefer a different colour then please get in touch.
