Full description
This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
It is a new design and I so pleased with it. It represents flames leaping from a fire and is in vibrant shades of red and orange on a lighter orange background. The 8 red flames are all cut from different types of glass, all different shades and textures, to give it lots of movement and the background is streaky glass so the whole picture comes alive in the light..
The centre of the fire is a glass bead streaked with red.
This is 13 cm square and hangs from a little silvery chain which is securely attached to the top of the suncatcher.
It can hang in a window or just against a wall and it is would make a wonderfully colourful addition to any room.
This would make a lovely present .
This item is totally individual, is the first I have made of this design and I am really pleased with it. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass for each piece to ensure they are unique.
I have included five photos of the suncatcher to try to show you the different colours and the textures of the glass.
