Rustic style handmade copper and sterling silver mixed metal foldform earrings The metalwork technique called foldforming was used to make these unusual earrings20mm copper discs have been annealed (heated) by torch then folded and hammeredOnce opened out the fold produces a raised line which was then stamped to create texture and interestSterling silver wire formed into spirals and riveted to the discs adds a cool contrast to the copper The earrings have been oxidised and polished to highlight the design and bring out the contrasting colours of the metalsFinished with handmade ball-end sterling silver earwiresLightweight and easy to wear - would make a great gift for a copper wedding anniversary
