Handmade Blue Enamel Disc Earrings with Sterling Silver
Torch enamel disc earrings 15mm copper discs formed into a gentle concave shape and enamelled by torch with several layers of opalescent and opaque vitreous enamels The base colour is opalescent green although when fired the colour is more of a rich semi-opaque blue with a hint of greenSprinkled on top of the opalescent blue is seafoam green - a light turquoise providing a pretty colour contrastThe earrings are teamed with elegant long-length handmade sterling silver earwires with decorative wirewrapped silver bead detail The backs of the discs are also enamelled in a smoky blackUnique and eye-catching - perfect for adding a touch of colour to your ears! Torch enamelling involves sifting enamel powder onto prepared metal and heating from beneath with a torch until the enamel powder fuses and becomes glossy and smoothVarious effects can be achieved and it is very addictive!
