Full description

If you enjoy sewing and love books why not try making your own Lilly*Blossom Book Bag in your favourite fabric using my easy to follow, 12 page, fully illustrated PDF sewing pattern. Please note this listing is for the PDF pattern only, the photos are of one's I have made to illustrate the pattern for you and hopefully some inspiration!

Lilly*Blossom Book Bags are ideal for catching a few chapters on the way to work, relaxing on holiday on the beach or as a gift to someone special. Perfect when given with a book of your choice to any book lover.

This finished book bag will cover an average 600 page paperback which measures approximately 13cms wide by 22cms high by 3-4cms deep. Between the layers of fabric there is a soft wadding which will protect your book. Attach your own unique beaded bookmark so you will never lose your place. Simply insert the front and back covers of your favourite paperback into the finished book bag and off you go - your book is transformed into a stylish bag, just open it to read! What could be easier...

The PDF shows how to make you own paper pattern using very simple rectangular shapes, how to cut out the fabric and step-by-step instructions with illustrations & photographs to help you complete your project.

The pattern is photographed in a Mustard Salsa fabric so you can clearly see the stitching lines. Above are some examples of how they look made from other beautiful fabrics,

The sewing pattern is classed as 'intermediate' suitable for anyone who has experience of using basic sewing machine stitches & following sewing patterns.

The pattern will be emailed to you in PDF format, but if you require another format please let me know.

Thank you for taking the time to look at my pattern, please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
