Full description
This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
It is a brand new design and I love it. Someone asked last week if I made castles. I didn't. I do now !
I have made this as a fairytale castle in shimmering, iridescent streaky white glass with a brown streaked wooden door, grey roof and tiny iridescent clear glass windows at the top of the turrets which have terracotta roofs.
I have placed the castle on a little browny green hill for completeness and to finish it off there are two flags, red and blue flying from the top.
The castle is 12.5cm high and 9cm wide and hangs from a silvery chain securely attached via a soldered wire ring.
This looks lovely hanging in the light where it shines and would make a wonderful and unique present.
I never make two pieces exactly the same. Even from the same pattern I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass.
I have included 5 photos as it is the first and only one of these I have made so far.
I can make this in other colour schemes, please just ask.
