Full description
A characterful and robust mug, hand-thrown on the wheel and fired for 18 hours in a wood kiln. As is traditional with Japanese pottery, fingermarks have been left to show the process of the pot being dipped into the shino glaze.
The mug measures approx. 10 cms tall and 8.5 cms wide across the mouth. The artist's personal seal has been applied just below the handle. I have tried to photograph as accurately as possible, but please bear in mind that colour shades may vary slightly when viewed under different lighting conditions.
