This bag has an unusual and lovely, gently structured, shape. It is roomy enough for a water bottle, umbrella small items of shopping etc, and your normal handbag items, or else a small handbag.
The front panel of the bag is formed from a piece of strip patchwork of furnishing weight fabrics. The patchwork has been embellished with ribbon, hand embroidery and machine couching over yarn. Vintage buttons are added for extra decoration.
The back panel of the bag is a lovely autumn-colours, heavy furnishing fabric. The bag is lined with a bronze patterned fabric. A pocket is included to save your keys etc falling to the bottom of the bag. The handles are attached by wood-effect rings. Each handle has a central panel of fabric, embellished with couched yarn to match that on the body of the bag. This panel is then applied to a wider soft webbing for comfort.
This bag has been shown without a closure. If you would prefer, I will be happy to add a loop and button closure at no extra cost. The button would be chosen to coordinate with the bag and stitched to the back panel. If desired message me on purchase. A photo of the closure will be sent by email for your approval.
