A very pretty slate grey slouchy or loose beret crocheted hat, with two differing crochet styles for a textural detailing to the hat.
This lovely and unique crocheted slouchy hat, or beret, matches a pair of fingerless mittens, listed separately, and if bought together, £2.00 will be refunded through paypal, from the combined price.
This hat is hand crocheted on a larger hook, to ensure a soft and loose weave. The body of the hat is crocheted in a double crochet technique, giving more of a waffle pattern, the band is then crocheted in the single crochet, to give a tighter weave as required and to draw the rim of the hat in, without reducing stitches.
The classic slate grey yarn for this crocheted hat is 100% acrylic and is a wonderful shade for the winter months. This lovely hat is washable with care at 30'C, but I would suggest handwashing and shaping whilst damp.
The slouchy, or loose beret, is a classic style. Crocheted in a continuous line, starting in the centre at the top, so there are no seams or joins in the body of the hat. The approximate measurements for the beret is that it has a diameter of approx 26cms at it widest point with the yarn relaxed.
I thoroughly enjoy creating useful and unusual items with yarn. Knitting and crochet are so relaxing! This ensemble, in slate grey will go with so many outfits, perfect for the winter seasons and any one who loves unique and bespoke items.
