Full description
Chrysanthemums, in shades of orange and red, are grouped against the knitted background of this pendant.
The flowers are stitched in tapestry wools, the background, knitted in a mohair blend yarn, has been knitted, and then fulled (felted) for closer texture. The background is first basted to a wool fabric background, and then embroidered.
The back of the pendant is neatened with commercial felt - blanket stitched to the brooch with a random thread in primary colours. A pure wool yarn in tweed effect, is couched as a frame around the edge of the brooch. The pendant will be hung from a length of black waxed cord ( about 70 cm ) for you to tie at your desired length.
