Partial carving of a woodwose, 9" tall by 3 1/2" diameter in sycamore
A variation on the traditional carving having only half the face showing.
This piece is either shelf standing or can be mounted on the wall. The black background offers a contract to the light Sycamore.
As a piece of English hardwood this carving if looked after will last a lifetime.
Another indoor carving as only the face is coated. Again there are shakes (splits) in the timber which are part of the natural drying process of the wood and will not get any bigger.
