Many of us use one large chopping board for most food preparation, but that can sometimes mean we make a fruit salad that tastes of last night’s curry! These small chopping boards are the solution – they can be used exclusively for garlic, herbs or chillis, meaning milder-flavoured fruit and vegetables don’t have to compete with them. They are made from a variety of species and come in many different sizes.
This board is one of our 'Off-Cut' products.As we process timber for furniture making we also inevitably create off-cuts. These are short or narrow pieces of perfectly good timber, and the best use of these up until now has been firewood.
However, we noticed that a significant proportion of these off-cuts are of a size that could be useful, with a bit of imagination. We set them aside for a few weeks and got to thinking about designs.
This chopping board is finished in raw linseed oil. All our off-cut products are dispatched in biodegradable padded envelopes.
