Full description

This unusual fine silver pendant is created from an original Roman coin and shows the head of the Emperor Hadrian.

It's the perfect Christmas or birthday gift for the man who has all the spanners, cufflinks and ties he could ever need!

I created a mould of the original coin, a silver denarius minted between 134 - 138AD. The level of detail is fantastic, with Hadrian's head in relief - even the beard line and original lettering is visible. You can also see the jagged edges of the coin, showing the wear of the last 2000 years!

The pendant is approx 1.4cms in diameter and 1.5mm thick with an integral bail on the back. The reverse itself is blank. It hangs from a 22 inch leather cord with a sterling silver bolt ring clasp (if you need a longer length please message me).

Hadrian was one of the so-called 5 Good Emperors and reigned 117-138AD and is best remembered for building Hadrian's Wall in the north of England.

The pendant will be wrapped in tissue paper inside a silver self seal pouch, and sent in a padded envelope by 1st class recorded post within 2 days of receipt of payment.
