Like to try your hand at knitting an octopus but not sure where to start?

The wonky octopus pdf knitting pattern gives you clear step by step instructions and handy hints along the way.

This pattern is suitable for an intermediate knitter or a beginner wishing to expand their skill set.

You can also contact me at any point if you need technical advice or have any other queries.

What you will need:

2 knitting needles fort main body (3.25mm or size required to match tension square)

A wide selection of larger needles for shaping the tentacles

1 ball of your main color (approx. 50g)

8 small amounts of different wool for the tentacles - or more of your main

1 scrap of dark wool and two buttons for eyes

Acrylic toy stuffing (polyfil)

1 tapestry needle for sewing up

Toy bells and squeakers (optional)

Skills used:

Casting on and off

Increasing and decreasing

Picking up

Sculpting using different needle sizes

Stitches used:

Stocking stitch
