Full description
This is a gorgeous antique 'Derby Crown Ware' Sauce Boat' with a delicious handpoured honey scented soy candle. The beauty of soy wax is that you can burn this candle and it won't damage the sauce boat so you can use it again for your own gravy of sauces, alternatively convo me and I can provide you with refills if you wish.
I date it between 1873 and 1890, that's when Derby received the royal mark and the backstamp changed. It's free of cracks & chips. It's in very good used condition, I would say the gilding is 95% intact, only a small amount has worn around the pourer.
The golds, blues and burgundies colours are very beautiful and vibrant. A lovely addition to any table setting.
