Full description

This 'Empire Ware' tureen was made in December 1930. When it made it's entrance to the table from it's factory in Stoke on Trent, it was the same month and year as the Great Depression took hold in America.

I've poured honey scented soy wax with 3 cotton wicks. This item is heavy 1kg and is a big candle equivalent to 4 teacup candles. Once you've used the candle wash the tureen and why not use at the table.

I really love the floral design on this one, it's abstract, it's unusual....at first you could be mistaken for the flowers being from the 60's but in reality it's much older. Alternatively, if you'd like a refill of wax with instructions please convo me.

History:- The Empire Porcelain Company was established in about 1896 at the Empire Works in Stoke Road. A wide range of pottery and

porcelain was subsequently produced.

The printed mark on this item is c.1928-39. however often the month and year of manufacture are included in marks from the 1920's to the 1950's and it has on this lovely sauce bowl. It was made in December 1930.

Tureen (without lid on) 15.5cm in diameter and 15.5cm in height
