I have put together all my ideas and come up with the perfect bib!
The shape is big enough that it gives plenty of coverage without getting in the way. An extra layer of absorbent cotton in the middle will soak up any spills. Lastly, using ties means no more velcro stuck to everything in the laundry and makes it difficult for determined little hands to pull them off.
This one is made from a recycled lumberjack shirt with a corduroy letter of your choice appliquéd on the front. The main fabric is a cheery red and white check and the letter you choose will be in toffee brown corduroy. I use the same corduroy for the back of the bib and in between is an extra absorbent layer of thick cotton. The edges are finished in a chocolate brown bias binding.
These bibs make an excellent gift for newborns, baby showers, 1st birthdays. The personalisation makes them a unique present for a special occasion.
Approx size: 28cm/ 11” by 22cm/8½ ”
These bibs can be washed in the hot wash at 60°C.
Please note that parts of this bib are made from recycled fabric so it may appear slightly worn (see photos for more detail). I make sure I wash everything at a high temperature to test the fabric and ensure it is clean before I make anything out of it. I sew the letters on by machine so they are securely attached. The fabric is nice and soft to touch and gets softer after washing.
