In an old oak tree lived a tiny little bird who liked to collect tiny little objects that were not very new or shiny but were always beautiful and special. He would use the objects to line his nest and weave into the twigs and leaves.

The tiny little bird was constantly taunted by the other residents, bigger birds, who could carry much heavier finds in their giant beaks and were always first to grab the shinier goods. Forever boasting about their new jewels, the bigger birds would always take more than they needed and leave them piled around their nests. One day a squirrel bandit raided the big oak tree, filling his sacks with everything that caught his eye.

The big birds lost everything. The tiny little bird lived in his comfortable nest for the rest of his happy little life.
