These dainty drop earrings each feature a natural Citrine nugget topped with a 4mm Citrine round and a trio of 2.5mm faceted Citrine beads, highlighted with 2.5mmBlack Spinel cubes.
The beads are threaded onto sterling silver wire and hung from sterling silver ear hooks.
Citrine is the yellow form of Quartz, getting its colour from traces of iron in the Quartz.
Natural Citrine is usually a pale lemon colour - deeper yellow and orange-yellow stones are generally produced by heat-treating Amethyst.
The natural, untreated stones I have used are in shades of pale lemon.
Citrine is the birthstone for November and Scorpio.
It is thought to bring happiness and abundance, to absorb and ground all negative energy and replace it with positive energy.
Known as the 'merchant's stone', Citrine is believed to attract wealth and good fortune.
Black Spinel is an opaque, natural and untreated mineral with high reflectance, making it extremely sparkly when faceted.
Handmade in my home workshop here in beautiful Devon in the UK, these would make a lovely gift for a birthday, anniversary, best friend or as a treat for yourself.
These earrings measure approximately 1.25 inches (3cm).
Your earrings will be wrapped in tissue and presented in an organza gift bag.
