Full description
This unique blue handmade mug would make a lovely baptism gift or a gift for a best friend. It features a vintage illustration of a girl on her flying rocking horse on the front and the following text on the reverse :-
Like a feather in the wind
they went rocking up the ray of moonlight
and were never seen again...
This is a quote from a short story by Joan Aiken about a girl and a magical rocking horse. This story captivated me as a child and I wanted to use it in a pottery design
The mug has been thrown and decorated by hand and goes through several stages of making and 3 firings...
Measurements: H11cm (approx)
Capacity: 350ml (approx).
