Full description
Bring a little piece of the seaside into your home with this handmade coastal shadow box, inspired by the beautiful sandy beaches and dunes of the Welsh coast.
The background features a peaceful beach scene with soft dunes, sand and sea printed on premium linen card, surrounded by a collection of natural seaside treasures. I've added real shells, sea glass, smooth beach stones, driftwood and natural dried botanicals to create a little coastal landscape within the frame.
There's also a tiny glass bottle tucked amongst the beach finds, containing a miniature handwritten message - a small reminder to slow down, breathe and enjoy the simple things.
I love using natural materials and found seaside treasures in my work, and each piece is assembled by hand here in my little corner of Wales. The combination of the soft blue sea, sandy dunes and natural textures gives this piece a relaxed, calming feel that would suit a coastal home, beach hut, seaside cottage or anyone who loves the coast.
The natural wooden frame measures approximately 19 x 19cm externally (7.5 x 7.5 inches), with a 15 x 15cm (5.9 x 5.9 inch) aperture. The frame is approximately 2cm (0.8 inch) deep and is designed to be displayed as a piece of wall art.
As this is handmade using natural materials, every piece is individual and there may be small variations in the shells, stones, sea glass and other seaside treasures used.
A thoughtful gift for a beach lover, coastal home, seaside cottage, nature lover or anyone who enjoys bringing a little bit of the coast indoors.
Please note that due to the natural materials used, this item is suitable for indoor display only and should not be used in wet or damp areas such as bathrooms.
