I was inspired to create this picture during a walk across my local beach of Broadhaven. Looking through the rocks, I spotted this view. The large protruding rock look to me like it was guarding the pool below it.

Full description
I drew this picture in high quality colour pencils from the range of Faber Castell Polychromos and Caran d'Ache Pablos. The view is of a scene through the rocks at my nearby beach of Broadhaven, Pembrokeshire. I used photographs as my source of reference because, out of doors light changes so quickly because of changing sky conditions. So that which is a perfect scene in one one minute can change into something nondescript a moment later with the passing of a cloud.
In paying great attention to details, I worked continuously at this piece for over a week.
Overall size - A3
