Full description
Perfect for board game lovers, this four piece coaster set are made from a vintage secondhand Scrabble game board. Loved but discarded, they've been saved from an uncertain fate by being lovingly upcycled in a multi-day process.
Boards are lightly cleaned to preserve the character built up from their previous lives, cut by hand to make the most of their designs, and coated in four layers (top and bottom) of a polyurethane gloss varnish to protect them from liquids. Then they're backed in cork using a latex glue.
While they are pictured stacked and tied with a piece of twine, they will be sent separated to ensure the parcel can be posted through your letter box. The twine and a tag saying what it is can be included for your use (e.g. if it's a gift you'll wrap), please select from one of the packaging options.
The photos in the listing are of the item you'll receive so please take a good look. This was a well-loved board and it shows. Marks, scruffs, and wear are testament to the life the board lived before being upcycled and have been protected under the varnish. We don't consider that character faults, they make every item one of a kind!
All coasters will be sent in plastic-free packaging and include a slip with important care information.
