Hester is a very sweet little spun cotton mouse. She is one of a kind and unique.

She stands on a painted wood block.
And is 13 cms in height including the wood block.
Spun cotton
A bit about my 'spun cotton' process.
I start my pieces with wire and foil to form a shape and then that is refined and tightened. with masking tape.. when I am completely happy with the form I start to add thin layers of cotton wool and glue.
It dries hard and gets harder with acrylic paints and varnish.
The finished piece is hard but lightweight and durable.
