Handcrafted Beetles Brooch- Wearable Art
One of a kind insect brooch Lovingy handmade by me, inspired by the intricate beauty of beetles and nature's patterns.
This piece is crafted from warm natural bare copper wire shaped and woven into the beetles delicate forms, with legs, antennae and decorate swirl all formed and hammered by hand.
The body is built up with burgundy velvet front and cotton floral reverse, oil slick tones of the glass beads with crystal spiral centres.
Every part is hand formed, hammered and stitched there is never two that are alike as I choose the colours materials and beads as the piece evolves and from what ever influence catches me at the time, this was inspired by clothing from the 1920/30s.
Perfect to decorate a hat or coat or bag or scarf or even on a simple outfit to bring a lift.
