Into the Wild - Original Mixed Media Botanical Artwork

A celebration of nature when it refuses to behave. Stems twist, leaves overlap and plants compete for space in a wonderfully unruly tangle of fresh greens, turquoise, gold and earthy red. Look closely and new shapes and marks begin to appear amongst the layers, creating the feeling of nature happily growing wherever it chooses. Lush, energetic and bursting with life - an invitation to step off the path and into the wild. An original mixed-media artwork celebrating the wonderfully unruly character of the natural world. Wild Places is a collection of eight small, original mixed-media paintings inspired by the colours, textures and tangled beauty of the natural world. These are not paintings of particular places or plants, but imagined landscapes that have evolved through layers of paint, texture and intuitive mark-making. Leaves, stems, seed heads and birds emerge and disappear amongst the layers, creating glimpses of places that feel both familiar and imagined. From the freshness of morning to the stillness of a garden after dark, each piece has its own atmosphere and story. Together, they celebrate the unruly beauty of nature - the unexpected colours, overlapping shapes and wonderful tangles that appear when things are allowed to grow a little wild. Each image is a unique original and is presented in a 7-inch square mount, ready to frame.
