Full description
In order to start the fabrication of a ceramic portrait a three-quarters frontal portrait HIGH-DEFINITION digital picture is required. (see the page "How to take the picture"on web site) Your e-mail is required as well. Between 15 to 20 hours are necessary to reach completion. You'll receive by mail the pictures of the work in progress. Modifications are possible while the clay is leather hard, modifications are difficult once the clay is dry, modifications are IMPOSSIBLE while the clay is fired. I ONLY make alive people and CANNOT do them with glasses on! Think around £350 per portrait. I can insert your portrait in a wooden frame, specially carved around the finish work, for £30 but you can choose to frame the portrait as you please. The portrait will then be sent to you bare.
Christmas and Valentine Day are the best opportunities to celebrate your couple, whatever the couple is, and you can stay gorgeous for the next 3000 years!
Note that for couple's portraits, long hair might be a framing / proportion problem:
If you consider sending two pictures and the lady or the man have long hair on the pictures and the other short hair, you will have two options to choose from: Or the hair will be carved in the clay in full, but the face will have to be way smaller compare to the other character with short hair. Or I will have to crop the hair do, to keep the two faces in proportion.
Other aspect to consider; I can only do individual wood frames. You can choose to have the two faces looking in the same direction (or both to the left or both to the right). In opposite direction (the left one looks to the left, the right one look to the right) or look to one another (Enough inverting the frames in that case). But according to your choice and the picture you have sent, I might have to FLIP left-right, one of the pictures if not corresponding to your requested setting.
