Full description
These handmade drop earrings were inspired by ancient Roman jewellery.
The rectangular section of the earrings was cut from from sheet brass and filed to smooth any rough edges. The uneven surface texture was applied by hammering and a tiny drill bit was used to create 4 small holes in each earring.
I have used a combination of teardrop, round and Heishi Carnelian beads along with gold plated spacers to create the triple dangles from each earring.
The Brass part of the earring has been coated with a jewellery compatible clear coat which should delay tarnishing.
The earrings as pictured have gold plated ear wires. If preferred, these could be swapped for gold plated (Vermeil) Sterling silver wires for anyone who reacts to base metal. This would incur an extra charge(£3) due to the escalating cost of Silver at the moment. Please let me know if you would prefer Vermeil ear wires before purchasing.
The total drop of the earrings from the top of the ear wires is 5.5 cm or 4 cm without the ear wire.
The earrings will come in the velvet pouch pictured and will be sent by Royal Mail Tracked 48.
