The Art Deco movement was my inspiration for this piece, the classis lines and organisation of the movement is a different way of working for me as I normally opt for more swirly dsigns. it's nice to have a break and try something different from time to time.

Full description
This bangle is a nod to the Art Deco movement where alegant pieces of jewellery were made with geometric shapes, edges and hard lines in mind. It is a textured flat band with a rectangular deep purple Amethyst of 6 by 12 mm set into it.
The texture on the bangle is created using a technique called reticulation where the silver is heated until just before it starts to melt. The surface of the silver starts to bubble and raise forming unique patterns. Once cold and then polished up it gives a beautiful glistening shine to the surface like a silver frosting. The design is such that it will move on the wrist and measures 70mm in diameter.
It has a classic feel to it and is made using recycled sterling silver silver that is hallmarked by the London Assay Office.
You will receive the bangle in a jewellery box where ideally it will be kept when not worn. It is also best to not wear in water and keep away from creams and sprays which over time will tarnish sterling silver. I have included a little piece of polishing cloth you can use to keep it at its best.
