Sterling Silver And Herkimer Diamond Stud Dangle Earrings. A 4mm Square Sterling Silver Stud With Butterfly Fitting. Hanging Beneath Is A Sterling Silver Ball Headpin With Three High Quality 5-6mm Herkimer Diamonds. They Are 20mm Long From The Top Of The Cube.
Herkimer diamonds are not actually diamonds, but double-terminated quartz crystals discovered within exposed outcrops of dolomite in and around Herkimer County, New York USA. The "diamond" in their name is due to both their clarity and natural faceting - The crystals possess double termination points and 18 total faces (six on each point and six around the centre).
