Super Mario World was one of those games I kept going back to growing up. The colours, the simple shapes, and how much life they gave to such small sprites always stuck with me. I wanted to take that feeling and turn it into something physical... something you could actually see and appreciate outside of a screen.

Hi, here’s my Super Mario World pixel art shadow box.
This piece recreates one of those instantly recognisable moments from the game, built up layer by layer to bring the scene out of the screen and into the real world.
Each element is carefully separated and stacked to create a diorama-style effect, giving depth and detail you just don’t get from a flat image. It’s a simple idea, but seeing it in person completely changes how the artwork feels.
I’ve always loved how much personality classic pixel art can hold, and this is my way of turning that into something physical... something you can actually hang on your wall and enjoy every day.
Every shadow box is handmade, from design through to assembly, and finished in a clean frame ready to display.
