Small-batch production using American black walnut, American black cherry, oak, birch, tulipwood and sapele .
Each item is individually crafted and ready to ship.
I wanted to create a stable and simple way to hold a book open without relying on lightweight or adjustable stands that move or collapse during use.
Most book stands are either too mechanical or visually distracting. I wanted something more solid and calm — a fixed form that supports the book naturally while sitting quietly on a desk or bedside table.
The addition of the magnetic tray came from the idea of extending the function without complicating the structure. It allows the stand to hold small everyday items while keeping the overall form minimal and balanced.

Designed as a calm and functional object, the stand holds books while bringing the warmth of natural hardwood to your desk, bedside table or living space.
The angled triangular form supports books securely while keeping the overall design calm and minimal. The geometry allows a book to lean comfortably whether the stand is placed on a desk, table or bedside furniture.
A removable tray is attached using neodymium magnets. When placed onto the stand it aligns automatically and settles into position with a gentle magnetic click. The tray can also function separately as a small surface for a phone, cup or other small everyday items.
The solid hardwood construction provides stability while keeping the stand visually light. The surfaces are carefully sanded and finished with Danish oil to enhance the natural grain and maintain a warm matte character.
Over time the hardwood develops richer tones and natural character rather than deteriorating like veneered or composite materials.
