The beautiful coated glass caught my eye and I was very keen to mix it with other glass and bake it to see what I could make from it. I made this necklace around Christmas time, we all need a bit of sparkle from wherever we can.

Full description
I made this pendant last year. I chose specially coated glass, this glass looks gold, yellow and green in different light.
I then cut this dichroic glass and carefully cut it to fit together. Layered on top of black opal glass and cut another piece of crystal clear glass to go on top. I then slowly heated it in the kiln for several hours at around 800 degrees Celsius.
After carefully controlled cooling and some water-grinding of any rough edges, I then cleaned it all again, added a silver-plated bail and chain and this one of a kind piece is now ready for the wearer.
