This scarf began with a mitred square - a favourite knitting pattern that I use a lot. Rather than adding on more squares, I decided to play around with yarns that I have in my collection and allowed the scarf to evolve slowly and intuitively; it almost seemed to grow organically, stitch by stitch until this long and unusual scarf was created - a unique piece of wearable art that has plenty of character.
