When we go on walks in the spring and summer, we find dandelions peaking out of the hedgerows and on the sides of the path. Or turn a corner, and you find great swathes of them covering the fields. I can't resist taking a photo each time, and I have so many to choose from to use as inspiration now. This design is based on a windy day, with the seeds blowing away in bright streams of colours. Using Derwent Graphik Paintliners to create a speckled effect by splatting, blowing and generally flicking the inks across the paper. They have the best of both worlds as they go on like a watercolour, but can be layered like acrylics.

Why is this a second? This is an end of line print and some prints have slightly bent corners where they have been kept in my print drawer.
Professionally printed in the UK on handmade 250 gsm paper. Open edition digital print.
I started out making illustrations when I first began selling my art, but then I discovered printmaking, and the rest is history. I’m selling off my end of line illustrations, so if you like these now isa the time to get one, before they are all gone.
The print will be backed with cardboard and wrapped in cellophane and sent to you in a hard backed envelope.
